Up and running again... antique perfume bottles..

Uuugghh.. there. We are back up and running again. Let's see if over the next few weeks I can play catch up and get some images up for you.

Some antique perfume bottles for you... an original photo taken by me, if you'd like to use this image for anything other than personal use please email me at damseldesigns@hotmail.com. (Reference 'The Vintage Moth' in your subject or it may get lost in shuffle.)

Thanks!

Adding spook to your photos.. Free Halloween Images

Inverting a photograph can be a fabulous way to add a bit of Halloween spook to your otherwise regular images. White lace becomes black and vice versa. Well, you get the idea. I did this little trick using Photoscape. One click. See the image below to see which little button. Works like a charm. For these, once I had inverted them, I clicked the little button kitty corner to the Invert Button to change the color tone to sepia. Easy peasy. :)

Antique Book PNG file ~ Free Clipart Image

the book image above is a .png file for you!! :)  I used it in my header for my personal blog..

Using PhotoScape, I overlaid several of the antique pages I have offered up previously to you. Except for creating the .png file in Photoshop, the entire collage above was created in Photoscape. I am trying to create more .png's for you.. I do understand how valuable they are for layering. Whenever I wand a portion of the image to remove, it locks up my Photoshop and shuts it down. I think it took me 2 hours to make the above image (something that should have taken 5 minutes..). I'm pretty sure my PC problems are from Windows Vista and I desperately want to upgrade to Windows 7 but I'm not sure when it'll happen. So, for now.. they will be few and far between. For more .png files click the tag below.

Happy Creating!

Not the prettiest lady in the world..

Most of the cabinet cards I come across are of those who aren't exactly model material. Like this handsomely dressed woman. I think. With the hard eyebrows, nose and mouth she could easily be mistaken for Leonardo DiCaprio or the young handsome actor who portrayed a young Darth Vadar in Episode II, his name eludes me right now. lol! Sorry, I just couldn't help myself!

Not every image is perfect, but they all are fabulous. To me there is more storyline in her face than in most of the prefect angels or pretty faces that we come across.

Enjoy!
