*Thank you so much for all the well wishes about my mom. She is home and recovering quickly! Now.. to get my three kids all ready for school next week! Wow... I'll have a whole 6 hours a week all to myself.. ooo... precious time.. whatever shall I do with it?

Look what I got my hands on!! Aaahhh! I loooooove it. :) I love that it is from 1861, that it is from August, and that it was the property of 'Mrs. D. Silver'. It is sooo much fun to read the articles, browse the advertisements, and see the latest fashions.  Yesterdays free images came from this fabulous find as well.. It seems as though I apologize so often for my absence here, on my blog. Whenever I say 'Sorry' I get so many comments and emails that I shouldn't be, you are all just thankful for the images.. so I won't apologize, but how about I explain? Last Tuesday my mom went in to the hospital for a fairly basic surgery, after some complications, they shipped her away from our local hospital to a larger, more focused Medical Center. They thought she'd had a heart attack, but as it appears now she didn't but there are still some dangerous issues they are working on. So, for a week now my family (extended and not) and I have been spending hours and hours sitting in the hospital with her.  Hopefully she will be home on Friday, but we've heard that before so it's one day at a time right now. Sooooo.. that is what I have been up to during the last few weeks of our gorgeous summer. Worrying, driving, sleeping, worrying. That's about it. It's nice to have a few moments to sit and post this.. I have so mnay images that stocked up for you!!
