Bookmarks ~ Series I

"She is too fond of books and it has turned her brain." ~ Louisa May Alcott
I absolutely LOVE this quote!
The other night I finally got to curl up in bed with a book. ??? I know, Wow! For me, that is a miracle! I love to read, but typically if I do get a few moments to myself in the evening, I wander here, to my PC, and start playing. This is my sanctuary.. my place to get away from it all. But anyway.. I finished reading a few pages and I didn't have a bookmark! It is a borrowed book so I really couldn't fold over the page corner or put a pen in it (like I usually do).
So, guess what I did today? Instead of reading, I plopped myself in front of my keyboard and with some clicks, pops and digital prowess I created four fabulous bookmarks! (I know there will be more, hence the series I.)
These would be perfect in an altered journal, embellished with ribbons, beads, glitter, stamps, tacked to an inspiration board, thrown into a scrapbook, or even, who would have guessed.. used as a bookmark!
Click the TOP image above to open the PDF file for the Bookmarks. In the top left hand corner click on DOWNLOAD to save to file to your PC.
That's it! Instructions for use are on the sheet.
**Don't forget to Follow this site through Google Friend Connect.. I just figured out how to add it yesterday. It is right under the sponsor section on the right. Thank you!! :)

I am scrambling for bookmarks all the time! Thank you for creating such pretty ones!
Cool, did you do this with ping or Photoshop? I have Corel Paint shop so will have to see if that will do this. You are always so creative.
I've been following you forever in Google Reader, but now I'm official! Congrats on figuring it out!
Thank you...I make these and pass them on to my reading friends !
Thank you Ms. Abbie!
I love your bookmarks and I never have enough. They are precious!
I am putting together a basket of goodies for my mother for Mother's Day. The bookmark with the Louisa May Alcott quote will be perfect for the woman who introduced me to "Little Women"! Thank you so very much!

lovely, lovely, lovely!
These are wonderful! Thank you! Little Women was my first series of books with no pictures when I was growing up! I remember my grandmother giving me the set as a gift and I was a little overwhelmed, but loved reading. I still do, but like you, it seems the few extra minutes I find are spent here in blogland.
Reading - ahhh. These bookmarks are lovely, thank you for finding them and sharing.
Thanks, Abbie! They're beautiful bookmarks.
Have a great day!

I adore the bookmarks you've made. I came over from the feathered nest blog. I love what you are doing with your site and I'm adding a link to you from my blog. Hope you have a great week!

P.S. That quote cracks me up!
Abbie, these are beautiful! (I've come over from The Feathered Nest and am shocked that I hadn't found them for myself.) I'm snagging for sure! Thank you so much and I do love that quote and hadn't heard it before!
Thank you SO MUCH for these gorgeous bookmarks. Have printed them already and planning to put some old vintage ribbon on them. I want to give one to a friend who has just leant me some books to read. Thanks again for being so generous. xx
Thanks a million! These are beautiful. May I post a photo and a link on my blog? I will add my name to your followers. Thanks again.
Abbie, I've made 8 gorgeous bookmarks from your images. Thank you so much. I am really happy with the way they've turned out. I am posting about them today with a link back to you... hope that's okay. Teresa
WoW ! What a wonderful site you have, I sometimes get dizzy when one click takes me to another then another site wich then leads me to a place I feel privileged to have found, I feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland going through door after door.
I thank you so much and can't wait to pop back tomorrow. Kindest Regards mary
I love the bookmarks. Keep them coming. I'm a teacher and will make some for my librarian and her aide and a few for me, too.
