Fabulous Antique Moth Images

 

Luna Moths are by far my most favorite of all living creatures. When I was a child they used to cling to our window screens. During the day I could sit inside and see every tiny hair through the glass that separated us. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

How fortunate you are to have seen a live luna moth! I have only ever seen cabinet specimens. Thank you for posting such lovely images!

Thank you so much for posting this! I was fortunate to be visited by a luna moth this summer who deposited some eggs on our screen. We raised the caterpillars and just had our last cocoon hatch. It was an awesome experience and now I can look at this antique image and remember my little moth family!
