Abbie- Love that little hat! I thought you might like to know about the photographer from the cabinet card two posts ago. His full name is Willis Gaylord Clark Kimball and he was born in Manchester, NH on June 4, 1843. He married Ella Give in 1863 and they had four children: Harry Gove, Ruchard Hazen, Edith May and Willis Clements. All good, solid names! Willis and I share common ancestors- Richard Kimball and Benjamin Kimball. Any time I see my maiden name, I am instantly intrigued to see how we are related. Willis's logo is just beautiful.
I came to your site from a link from another site...and as I scanned down the page I found the ad from Potsdam, NY. This is my hometown, I still live here, and many of my ancestors also called it home! You have made my day! Thanks for sharing your goodies, I love them all!

wonderful - thanks for sharing!
I find it interesting that this child could be either a boy or a girl. They used dress the boys up pretty fancy for photos.
Fabulous portrait. And I love the advertisement.
