Saying Goodbye...uh. Strike that. Reverse it.

I'll be home soon.  

Well, after over 5 years of blogging I have decided to shut my site down on September 30th. I never thought that so many would visit from so far, as it started as a place to put down my creative thoughts and ideas, then became the venue in which I met many dear friends, most I will never get the opportunity to 'meet' face to face. My blog has seen my eldest daughter evolve from diapers and MANY sleepless nights to being a first grader. I gave birth to my second daughter while blogging.. and built the home my husband and I now live in. My son has gone from a wee child to phasing into a teenager; he'll be 13 in January. With all three in school my mind and focus is shifting to outside the home, and perhaps entering back into the academic life and completing my bachelors degree, something that has been in the works, well, for forever it seems. I will miss my time here, in the quiet of the wide, wide web.

My other sites, that have since been sold, www.thevintagemoth.blogspot.com and www.buttonfloozies.blogspot.com are still up and running, now under the guidance of new, inspiring talent. If anyone is interested in purchasing the domain www.percyandbloom.com or in taking over the site and making it their own, please let me know via email at damseldesigns@hotmail.com by September 29th.

Well, Abbie, it sounds as if you've given this a lot of thought. You've had one foot out the door for some time so it makes sense. However, the good news in Blogdom is that you can change your mind and return to us whenever you'd like. It's always a woman's preogative.

Thank you for the information about The Vintage Moth, etc. I had not known.

How wonderful about returning to school yourself! I always felt as if I had unfinished business when my degree was floating around just those few credits away. Turns out that I returned in my 30s and spent two and a half years at school and loved nearly every minute of it. I've not regretted it.

You were one of the first blogs I ever started following and definitely the first blogger to take the time to answer me back on comments. Thank you so much for the inspiration and motivation. I don't know if my little blog will ever become anything more (I can't seem to manage my time as well as other blogger moms do) but it's a great way to connect to people and an outlet for creativity. You will be missed but I certainly wish you all the best with your career, home, and family!!!
