Pansies

I love our pansies.. unfortunately so do the chickens, and the moles. Oh, and also the chipmunks.

I took these photos a few short days before all of my pansies were decimated. Completely destroyed by edible flower loving critters. But, as a consolation.. I have set the Have a Heart trap and caught two moles thus far.  Something else they love? My lillies. :(

I hate when these critters get my flowers! Glad that you were able to capture a photo or two before the bitter end. I think this is why I love my big pots and hanging pots. It's the only way that I can protect my pretties.

Pansies are a fave of mine, too! They're so pretty (and edible) who could resist? :)

Wanna get rid of the moles, chippies & squirrels? Plant a beer bottle. Seriously, I kid you not...plant one w/ the neck sticking out of ground tilting into the predominant wind. We planted one in the back yard and one out front facing opposite directions. Our moles and chipmunks disappeared within days. I guess the wind blowing across the bottle vibrates underground and the critters don't like it at all. No poison, no traps, all good.

Don't know if you got my email, I've been having issues...let's get together soon. Hopefully before I head to Utah.
