Making me happy...

Things that are making me HAPPY:

(my husband and children are permanent fixtures on this list)

1. Endless possibility

2. Big dreams

3. Starting at page one

4. The Bees Knees Peanut Butter with Honey

5. An organized house

6. The Bloom Project

7. The Happiness Project

8. Tying up loose ends

9. Getting up early

10. Having my meals planned for the week

11. Making an appointment and keeping it

12. My mega multivitamin pack for joint health from GNC

13. The sun is shining

14. Figuring things out

15. Planning my daughters quilts

16. Being on time

17. Keeping a list

18. Crossing things off the list

19. My new lipstain/gloss

20. Learning how to hem my jeans so that you can't tell I did it

21. Adding a tbsp of salt to my humidifier

22. Putting the laundry away as soon as it comes out of the dryer

23. Waking up to a clean house (I pick it up before I go to bed)

Things that are gunking up the works:

1. Eco-friendly dishwasher detergent. I have tried so many and have yet to find one that works. (it would be nice to not have to wash the dishes twice. Once in the dishwasher and again when they come out.. that is not very eco-friendly.)

2. Imaginary limitations that I set on myself or my abilities

3. My ear infection

What is making you happy?

xoxo~

Hey Abbie,
Lots of the same things that are on your list also make me happy! Right now I would say crafting with my daughter (we're making Valentine's day things, snow days-it looks like a winter wonderland here in WNC right now. Hot tea, baking and enjoying the good eats without worrying about the calories or carb content!

Have a splendind day!

Oh, and on the topic of eco-friendly dishwasher detergent-I, too have tried them all , even a few homemade ones, the best that I've found is Palmolive eco. Even it doesn't do a great job. My husband begged me to please switch back to Cascade and he would do whatever other environmentally friendly things I asked without complaint. So I did. It seemed like a small price to pay considering how much pre-rinsing and after washing cleaning we were having to do!

So many fascinating links, Abbie. I got distracted and wandered off, but I'm back to say thank you. Oh and do feel better. Nasty old ear infection...

I so hear you about the dishwashing soap. We finally gave up on the eco brands after trying too many of them. I tried hard, I really did. I honestly wanted to use one, but I can't afford to keep spending money on a product that doesn't work. Now we just use a generic liquid from Costco (we never had much luck with Cascade either). Strangely, the dish washing liquid for sink use is fantastic. Why then can't they figure out the dishwasher stuff?

What makes me happy.....Quality quiet time with hubby (we don't get a lot of that these days), cooking, gardening, making art.....sunshine. :-)

As plastic jugs get empty in our house, they are being replaced with eco-friendly alternatives. ECover makes great eco-friendly diswasher tablets that work.http://www.ecover.com/us/en/Products/Dishes/ I find it works best when used with their rinse aid. Do not buy the powder...only the tablets.

We've recently learned that BL has mild to moderate hearing loss...reversible thank goodness. Caused by chronic fluid build up in her ears that didn't morph into infections, so we never knew. I'm a little irritated that the pediatrician didn't catch it at her check up, though.

Let's try to get together next week...I'm home for all of it as BL's on vaca and Sy's not.
